Back to School

I just got home from a trip to the store and was disgusted to realize the Back-to-school displays are up and ready for action. I know they always come out soon after the 4th of July but still, I was taken by surprise. My normal response is, Yuck! Disgusting! But it is soon followed up by an investigation of what is on sale. What can I take advantage of? How can I use this stuff in my classroom? However, this year it is just Yuck and Disgusting followed up with pure unadulterated sympathy for the poor children who are being reminded that their summer is coming to an abrupt end. Poor babies. I'm sorry for everyone who has just had the first of August and going back to school thrown in their faces! Sad. Sad. Sad.
