Another Ash Wednesday. Another Lent. A time to slow down, to be present to the next 40 days. A time to look inside and reflect on what you see. This year it will be a time of quiet, of contemplation and of course, discernment. I gave up the giving up several years ago. The fact that I can go 40 days without chocolate or alcohol or cussing means nothing in the larger scheme of things. It is a time to practice loving, giving, and praying.
